Regina Pynn is a highly motivated student at Stevens who has supplemented her academic background by developing valuable job skills and experiences thanks to her involvement within the Stevens Cooperative Education (Co-op) program.

Currently pursuing both a Bachelors and Masters in Mechanical Engineering, Regina has completed four co-op work terms with a fifth scheduled for this summer. Regina hopes to build her career within the aerospace industry, and her roles at both Hamilton Sundstrand, an important contractor in the aerospace world, and NASA, make her a very desirable candidate upon graduation.

In fact, Regina feels that one of the most valuable aspects of Co-op involvement is the confidence it brings to the job search. She also points out, “the opportunity to work for real players in industry lets a potential recruiter know they have someone who is entering the workforce with experience, actual knowledge, and a sense of purpose and direction.”

Perhaps most noticeable about Regina is the focus and direction she enjoys while discussing future career plans. “The hands on approach with the Stevens Co-op office applies to every student walking through their doors,” says Regina. “I am very happy with the opportunities that have been presented to me, and known none of this would have been possible without the Co-op office.”
